COMOSS Awarded EcoVadis Gold Medal & Dongguan Factory Completed Solar Panel Installation (2024)
COMOSS has been dedicated to promoting ESG and actively implementing the concept of sustainable business practice in recent years. This year (2024), our Dongguan factory has successfully obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification. Additionally, the Dongguan factory has installed solar panels to reduce electricity consumption. COMOSS has achieved a Gold Medal in this year's EcoVadis assessment, ranking among the top 5% of assessed companies.
Under the UN's 2050 net-zero carbon emissions goal, many countries are actively implementing corporate ESG. While companies have traditionally relied on self-declarations or certifications to showcase their ESG effort, renowned enterprises are recently increasingly the demand for their suppliers to obtain EcoVadis ratings. Recognized by over 130,000 companies in more than 180 countries, EcoVadis provides standardized and objective assessments of environmental, labor, and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices. COMOSS has been actively implementing a comprehensive ESG strategy that encompasses a sustainable environment, social welfare, information security, and a friendly workplace. This year (2024), we successfully installed a 1200-square-meter rooftop solar panel system at our Dongguan factory, aiming to replace 20% of our current electricity consumption. Moreover, we will commence the implementation of ISO 50001 Energy Management System and ISO 14064-1 Carbon Footprint standards next year.
