Now, COMOSS can provide customers a total solution of POF Ethernet environment. A POF Switch Hub, media converter (convert Ethernet into POF) and POF patch cord composed of fiber network. A high-bandwidth, low radiation, easy set up FTTX solution.

COMOSS OLKDX is a plugless digital-to-optical transceiver module that is fully compatible for IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet data communication standard. OLKDX with smaller housing provides a novel termination solution for bare plastic optical fiber (POF). OLKDX owns cheaper, quicker and easier feature in POF network solutions. OLKDX allows a bare POF cable that is cut into any expected length by COMOSS knife tools. Its applications involve in PCs, consumer electronic devices, digital home network and embedded car network.

OptoLup , a Polymer Optical fiber (POF) that suitable for Optolock™ applications. The OptoLup™ cable consists of two parts, the core in the center and the cladding at the outer layer, and then an overall sheathing jacket. (The illustration of the optical fiber cable) OptoLup™ is a kind of APF (All-plastic fiber), both the core and the cladding are made of plastic. Among of which, the refractive index of the core is higher than the cladding, so that when an optical ray is transmitted at an angle into the cable, the optical ray can be reflected back at the boundary between the core and the cladding for the transmitting.

In fact, HDMI 1.3a specifications cover two categories. CAT1 is the same specifications for Comoss HDMI Cables that have already been tested and approved. Regarding CAT2, it supports a higher bandwidth along the cable and a clock frequency of up to 340 MHz. Our test report here is based on CAT2 HDMI cable & A type connector. It covers the cable assembly test of HDMI specification V1.3a and HDMI Compliance Test Specification V1.3b. (CTS V1.3b.)

The FECON-S1X series are 10/100Base-TX copper to
100Base-FX POF (Plastic Optical Fiber) converter.
The FECON-S1X includes Ethernet (RJ-45) connectors
and SMI (Small Multimedia Interface) POF transceivers.
The FECON-S1X series are treated as IEEE 802.3u Fast
Ethernet repeaters. The FECON-S1X series are fully
compatible for IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet data
communication standard. Their applications are in any
CE devices of the Ethernet home network such as PC and
consumer electronic devices.

DHEX for HDMI

The DHEX-B160 series are treated as HDMI (High-Definition
Multimedia Interface) cable equalizers and HDMI repeaters.
The DHEX-B160 series are used to extend HDMI TMDS
(Transition Minimized Differential Signal) signal to 45
meters without any optical component. The DHEX-B160 series
are fully compatible with the video resolution at VGA,
SVGA, XGA and SXGA. They are also fully compatible with
the DTV resolution at 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i. Their
applications are in any digital A/V devices with DVI or
HDMI interface, such as LCD monitor, PDP, projector, HDTV,
DVD player, HDMI display card and HDMI home theater.

DHEX for DVI

The DHEX-A150 series are treated as DVI (Digital Visual
Interface) cable equalizers and DVI repeaters. The DHEX-A150
series are used to extend DVI TMDS (Transition Minimized
Differential Signal) signal to 45 meters without any optical
component. The DHEX-A150 series are fully compatible with the
video resolution at VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA. They are also fully compatible with the DTV resolution at 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i
and 1080p. Their applications are in any digital A/V devices with
DVI or HDMI interface, such as LCD monitor, PDP, projector, HDTV,DVD player, HDMI display card and HDMI home theater.


The 1394CON-BXXX series are interface converters that use IEEE 1394b 9pin connectors and SMI (Small Multimedia Interface) POF transceivers. The 1394CON-BXXX series are treated as IEEE 1394/ 1394a/ 1394b repeaters at S100/ S200/ S400 signaling rates. They are also treated as SMI POF repeaters that fully support IEEE Std 1394b at S100/ S200 signaling rates. Their applications are in any CE devices of the home network or embedded car network such as PC, HDTV, STB, CD& SACD players and consumer electronic devices.

The SMIDX is combined with RCLED (Resonant Cavity Light Emitting Diode) -based TOSA (Transmitter Optical Sub-Assembly) and ROSA (Receiver Optical Sub-Assembly) for POF data communication system. The SMIDX-BB is POF transceiver module that is suitable for SMI POF connector. Its applications involve in PCs, consumer electronic devices and embedded car network. The SMIDX-BB meets the S200 (250 Mbps) standard of IEEE Std 1394b-2002.

 

The SMI (small multimedia interface) is one kind of POF (plastic optic fiber) interface that can suitable for low-cost and high-speed data transmission. COMOSS has developed the SMI connecting system for application as PCs, consumer electronic devices, and home network. The SMI patch cord meets the IEEE 1394b specification that can transmit data at S200 (250Mbps) speed for 50 meters. It will make the new generation multimedia life more possible and easy.

 

The 1394CON-AXXX series are interface converters that use IEEE 1394b 9pin connectors and IDB1394 POF transceivers. The 1394CON-AXXX series are treated as IEEE 1394/ 1394a/ 1394b repeaters at S100/ S200/ S400 signaling rates. They are also treated as IDB1394 POF repeaters that fully support IEEE Std 1394b, IDB1394 automotive specification and IDB forum at S100/ S200 signaling rates.

 

The COMOSS VHD series are VHDCI (Very High Density Cable Interconnect) connectors that are suitable for SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) technology.
