COMOSS Plastic Optical Fiber Evaluation Board Series allows the user to examine a data link over POF and to test the operation of the fiber optic transceivers.
Each evaluation board carries the POF transceiver components in a through-hole of OPTOLOCKR connecter. The electrical input and output lines from the transceiver are brought out to SMA connectors.
The input accepts an LVDS/CML or PECL data source such as a Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), Pattern Generator, or other signal source. A full-duplex Step Index POF cable links the optical signal to the second board.
The receive side of the transceiver generates LVDS/CMS - compatible differential output data signals. The boards are capable of full-duplex operation.
In addition to the data input and output signals, the transmitter side also has a Rex input to control the optical power. For normal operation, this input may be tied to ground. The receiver side also provides a Signal Detect (SD) output.
If not required, this output may be left open circuit

developing the POF tester together, especially for its
OptoLup™ POF cables. OptoLup™
cable ; a type of APF (All-plastic Fiber); both the
core and the cladding are made of plastic while the
refractive index of the core is higher than the cladding.
When an optical ray is transmitted at an angle into
the cable, the optical ray can be reflect back at the
boundary between the core and the cladding for transmitting.

, a Polymer Optical fiber (POF) that suitable
for Optolock™ applications. The OptoLup™ cable consists
of two parts, the core in the center and the cladding
at the outer layer, and then an overall sheathing jacket.

COMOSS has launched IEEE-139b 2-port repeater (1394REP-B2000)
and IEEE-139b 3-port repeater (1394REP-B3000) to successfully
extend the signal from 4.5 meters (standard) to 9 meters.
Moreover, like all IEEE 1394 compliant hardware, 1394REP-B2000
and 1394REP-B3000 are easy to be set up and there is
no configuration needed. In addition, they support not
only “plug and play” function well but also serial bus
data transmission rate of 100/ 200/400/ 800 Mbps. Meanwhile,

today announces that COMOSS OLKDX, an OptoLock POF Transceiver
Module, which helps to convert digital to optical /
optical to digital in a simple and cost-effective way.
In order to make end users to set up Ethernet Media
Converter on site easily by DIY method, this low-cost

We
are glad to release a piece of surprising news today
as our COMOSS HDMI series are complied with not only
version 1.2 of the HDMI specification, but also version
1.3a of the HDMI specification from now on. With the
release of version 1.3a of the HDMI specification in
June 2006, higher display resolution formats were then
added such as 1080P, deep color technology, audio/video
synching capabilities, etc. Therefore, the bandwidth
was increased up to 10.2 Gbps at 340 MHz. In November
2006, HDMI org. released version 1.3a. of the HDMI specification.An
updated Compliance Test Specification (CTS V1.3a) document
which includes new tests for the capabilities was defined
in HDMI V1.3a.
In fact, HDMI 1.3a specifications
cover two categories. CAT1 is the same specifications
for Comoss HDMI Cables that have already been tested
and approved. Regarding CAT2, it supports a higher bandwidth
along the cable and a clock frequency of up to 340 MHz.
Our test report here is based on CAT2 HDMI cable & A
type connector. It covers the cable assembly test of
HDMI specification V1.3a and HDMI Compliance Test Specification
V1.3a. (CTS V1.3a.) Unlike some companies may still
