Serial
ATA
Serial
ATA (SATA), an
evolutionary high-
performance interface for
storage devices to
replace the Parallel ATA,
|
 |
developed
by Serial ATA Working Group. It is used
to connect ATA and
ATAPI devices, including CDs, DVDs,
tapes devices, high capacity
removable devices, zip drives, and CD-RWs.
SATA provides platform to
have lower voltage, lower pin, thinner
cable, and better bandwidth for
several generations of future storage
devices. In benefits, storage
devices are no longer packed with thick
and sizeable cables. |
